I had the privilege of welcoming Wendy from Keep Lancing Lovely to 10 Downing Street for a reception hosted by the Prime Minister to celebrate St George’s Day.
It was filled with volunteers who do wonderful work in their community, so it was a privilege to be able to recognise the dedicated work of Wendy and the rest of the Keep Lancing Lovely team. They do a fantastic job of tidying up, promoting recycling, and teaching children about the importance of looking after our local environment.
I also had the opportunity to join the Keep Lancing Lovely team for a litter picking session on Lancing Beach Green this month. If you’re local to the beach, I’d really recommend going along to one of their litter picks which are on the last Sunday of every month, from 10:30am – 12pm.
