Work experience for local students

Published
Tom Rutland MP for East Worthing and Shoreham with work experience students in Parliament.

Thank you so much to the 14 work experience students who joined my team over the last few months.

It was wonderful to show them the work my team and I do both locally and in Westminster. They also learned about how my busy offices operate, shadowed me in meetings with local organisations, and completed policy and communications tasks.

They have all shown real engagement and interest and have completed excellent work for us, and I’m looking forward to more students joining us next week.

If you are enthusiastic about politics or know a student who is, and would like work experience in my office next year, please get in touch by emailing: [email protected] or going to my contact form.

Here are what a few of the students said:

It’s been great seeing the dedication to helping the constituents of East Worthing and Shoreham. It’s great to see how embedded Tom and his team are in the community, and how open and approachable they are!”

Tom sat down with us in Parliament to listen to our opinions on his and the government’s work. He made sure to show us around Westminster which was very interesting and engaging (he also paid for lunch!)”
