Some of the most important work I do as your Member of Parliament is the least visible – helping and supporting individual constituents with issues they’re facing.

One year on, we are making real progress with our Plan for Change. Since the election, this Labour Government have announced significant initiatives for our economy, NHS, education system, waterways, and much more. 

SGN have informed me that extensive essential gas works are due to take place on several roads across Findon Valley from Monday 11th August, to provide residents with a safe and efficient gas supply.

It has been an absolute privilege to represent you as your MP as part of this Labour Government since July last year. With Parliament now in recess, I wanted to reflect on some recent successes for our area. 

Engaging young people in our democracy is crucial, so I’m thrilled that the Government has announced that – as promised in our manifesto – 16 and 17-year-olds will have the right to vote at the next general election.

Locally, I had a brilliant time visiting the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, where it was great to see this fantastic clean power project up close.

The Prime Minister secured a groundbreaking partnership with President Emmanuel Macron on small boats last week, after months of negotiations led by the Home Secretary.

Locally, I have been coordinating multiple organisations to save Widewater Lagoon.

Somehow, it has already been a year since you elected me as your Member of Parliament for East Worthing and Shoreham.

Wages and pensions are up, interest rates and mortgages are down – and so too are hospital waiting lists. There’s lots more to do, but things are getting better.

The Government has unveiled its new Industrial Strategy, which will boost local businesses, enhance skills, and support growth in Adur and Worthing by tackling barriers holding back British businesses.

Summer fair season is upon us! On Saturday, I was up bright and early at the fair on South Street in Lancing, followed by fairs in Shoreham at Swiss Gardens Primary and Herons Dale Primary.
