Thank you so much to the 14 work experience students who joined my team over the last few months.

It was wonderful to show them the work my team and I do both locally and in Westminster.

I am really pleased to share the news that Worthing will have its own dedicated citizen science water quality monitoring facility, fully funded by Southern Water and generously supported by South Downs Leisure, that will serve both East Worthing & Shoreham and Worthing West.

After a lovely summer recess in the constituency, Parliament is well and truly back, and we have wasted no time in delivering for working people.  

It has truly been a glorious summer in the constituency! I have really enjoyed meeting with so many local businesses, organisations, and residents.

Last week, we came together as a community to remember and pay tribute to the 11 men who were killed at the Shoreham Airshow crash 10 years ago. 

It was incredibly moving to meet with some of the families who lost their loved ones and to hear from them about the lives of their sons, fathers and brothers.

Summer recess is a fantastic opportunity to get out and about across the constituency.

This week, it was wonderful to meet Philip and the rest of the Southdown Men in Sheds team in Fishersgate to try my hand at some woodwork and hear about how they provide social connection for people over DIY projects and restoration.

Some of the most important work I do as your Member of Parliament is the least visible – helping and supporting individual constituents with issues they’re facing.

One year on, we are making real progress with our Plan for Change. Since the election, this Labour Government have announced significant initiatives for our economy, NHS, education system, waterways, and much more. 

SGN have informed me that extensive essential gas works are due to take place on several roads across Findon Valley from Monday 11th August, to provide residents with a safe and efficient gas supply.

It has been an absolute privilege to represent you as your MP as part of this Labour Government since July last year. With Parliament now in recess, I wanted to reflect on some recent successes for our area.
